Hi there! I’m Jenny (she/hers) and I’m thrilled to e-meet you! 🌿 👋🏼
If you’re feeling lost or “behind” among your circle of friends, this is for you. Bite-sized career wisdom can be found here, from a first-generation college graduate and small business owner who leaped into big things before she was ready.
Key things to know about me:
Born and raised in Chicago, currently living in Los Angeles with my husband + spaniel, Bruno.
- I received my B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I’m a first-generation college graduate (meaning first in my household to get a degree), and the first in my family to earn a corporate salary.
- I’m also a first-generation American. I’m half Polish, and half Mexican. I’m 1 of 4 children who grew up in a 1 bedroom apartment by a single mom in Chicago.
- I had a TikTok or two go viral (2.2M+ views) on resume best practices and how to take a professional headshot using your phone.
- I’ve got a signed copy of She Had Some Horses by Joy Harjo. My favorite poet/author of all time. I was fangirling so hard watching her sign it.
- I’ve spent the last 5+ years as a writer, marketer, consultant, and career coach. Yes, I’m a 20-something, but I know what I want.
- I’m the Founder of Workplace Worth Academy, my signature 1:1 coaching program aimed to help creatives + job seekers take on meaningful paid work.
- I’m open about my mental health struggles. I’ve spoken openly about my upbringing, toxic environments, and coping with anxiety.
- Featured in Wall Street Journal, Healthline, Yahoo Finance, ClearVoice, and New York Times.
